Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for making false promises about the Deucha Panchami coal mining project. Chowdhury stated that Banerjee frequently raises the issue of Deucha Panchami during elections but fails to address it afterward. He questioned the feasibility of the project, citing that the machines required for coal extraction are not available in India. Chowdhury further asked if Mamata Banerjee planned to bring these machines from abroad, particularly London. The Deucha Panchami project, located in the Birbhum district, has been under scrutiny due to environmental concerns and issues related to land acquisition.
